A building site. Three lives in motion. And a fairy tale that refuses to stay on the page.
Three construction workers arrive for another day on a building site in Britain. Amid deadlines, hierarchies and banter, a woman waits with a notebook, hoping to speak with them during their lunch break.
Somewhere, Mummy Pig reads to her three sons from a book called Chronicles of the Building Site. As she turns the pages, work, migration, family and ambition begin to collide.
Four performers move between multiple characters and three interwoven theatrical worlds, combining contemporary writing, physical theatre, visual storytelling and humour.
Three Little Pigs explores financial pressure, masculinity, loneliness, mental wellbeing, belonging and the idea of home.
But who is imagining whom—and where does the fairy tale end?
Inspired by the world surrounding the construction industry, the play is entirely fictional and does not reproduce any individual testimony or biography.
