Minky and Dickie lose themselves in the act of creation.
Minky and Dickie have both auditioned for Richard III. Minky gets the role. Dickie tells her she didn't. What begins as a small domestic betrayal grows monstrous. Dickie takes the crown. Then he wakes up pregnant.
As pregnancy, performance and power move between their bodies, Shakespeare's text is rewritten and their bedroom becomes a throneroom, a stage and a battlefield.
At this show’s centre is a question that runs through Richard III: what are we prepared to do to become the person we think we deserve to be?
The result is a two-hander about love under pressure, the seductions of ambition, and the impossible burdens of creative and reproductive labour.

"It is rare to watch performers with such style, idiosyncrasy and originality, openness of spirit and heart... I left richer for it and inspired. It has stayed very clearly with me." - Rachel Snider, Theatre Maker, Director, Designer
