The night as a stage, the beat as the pulse.
Rooted in Berlin’s underground club culture, Schlaflos/Sleepless tells the story of a group of friends caught between euphoria and disillusionment, escapism and self-discovery. In a poetic and intense performance, the night becomes a space of both liberation and confrontation.
Drawing inspiration from Wim Wenders’ Wings of Desire and Nan Goldin’s intimate imagery, Schlaflos/Sleepless blends electronic music, poetic storytelling and raw energy of clubculture into a live experience that sits between theater and music performance.
Schlaflos/Sleepless is more than a story about nightlife, it’s an ode to friendship and the moments of clarity that appear in the haze of the night. With humor and unflinching honesty, the play touches on themes of inner conflict, substance use, and vulnerability — experiences that feel both deeply personal and universally human.
