(M)Others Between Shores is a movement-led documentary theatre created from the lived experiences of migrant mothers. Blending physical theatre, puppetry, sound, music and multilingual text, the performance explores how migration reshapes motherhood, identity and belonging. Rooted in research and community collaboration, it traces journeys of displacement, care, resilience and rebuilding home across borders.

Created by Resonant Shore Theatre, the production places migrant mothers at the centre as cultural storytellers, transforming personal testimony into poetic theatrical language. Through intimate ensemble performance, it invites audiences to encounter contemporary experiences of migration beyond headlines, fostering empathy, dialogue and a deeper understanding of the many ways people create home and family in unfamiliar places.

Created by the team behind the award-winning Mothering Voices, recipient of Outstanding Production of the Year at the Hong Kong Drama Awards.
