"Every year, I must prove myself again. That my presence here is 'reasonable enough'. That my presence here is 'temporary'.
Every year. Again. And every year, I receive an envelope. An envelope with a card inside. A card that allows me to remain here. A card that gives me a number. A card that says: you may... stay... for now.
I am nobody without this card. I am not even a number. I wait to become a number so that I can become human again."

You have been given an envelope. A performer is missing. A letter is waiting.

TEMPORARY AUTHORIZATION is an interactive theatre piece about immigration, bureaucracy and what it means to exist temporarily. Who has the right to be present and who decides?

Written by him. Performed by you.
