#FATKARY explores what it’s like to be a morbidly obese woman in the northeastern border between Mexico and the US. The piece tells the story of the actress, who will do everything necessary to step onto the scale without feeling remorse. Humor, food and interactive episodes take us to the playful selection of tragedies. Folk music, dance, cabaret and rap are intertwined with the violence that is experienced both on the border and in our body.
This interdisciplinary contemporary show mixes theater, stand-up, multimedia, music, dance and installation for a particularly remarkable performance, creating a cozy relationship with the audience.
With the constant feeling of not fitting in anywhere; as a woman, as a mother, as a partner, as an artist -living between limits-, comes the question if there is space for us, the ones who don’t feel suitable for the current world.

As we journey with the performer through the story of her life, we embark on an emotional rollercoaster that, through music and performance, allows us to digest the narrative even at its most intense moments...
