Etcetera Theatre

PROGRAMMING AIMS

We are particularly interested in international and multilingual work, especially French-speaking artists, as well as solo and small-cast shows with a strong narrative or contemporary edge. We prioritise work that is text-led, experimental, intimate, or cross-disciplinary, including theatre, spoken word, storytelling, and performance that sits between theatre and live art. We aim to support artists who value a focused, attentive audience, clear communication, and a supportive venue relationship. We are especially keen to hear from artists presenting UK premieres, London debuts, or work touring internationally.

Slots are allocated first come, first served. Priority may be given to longer runs and shows including a Sunday, to support fair box office outcomes.

DATES OF FESTIVAL PERFORMANCES

Etcetera Theatre will programme Voila! Festival performances from 3-22 November 2026. Performances will typically be scheduled on weeknights and weekends, with flexibility depending on the scale and needs of the production. We encourage artists to attend the Pick of Voila opening showcase on 2 November and are happy to discuss schedules that allow this.

NUMBER OF PERFORMANCES

We generally offer 1–3 performances per show, depending on the nature of the work, audience demand, and artist availability. Our focus is on short runs with strong audience targeting, rather than extended runs, allowing artists to test work, build visibility, and connect with Voila audiences.
