Whilst the kettle is boiling, she looks at the commuters through the window of her hotel room. She randomly picks out people to make herself feel less alone.
She changes hotels every night. She never stays in the same one twice, but the question is always the same: can we get rid of what we’ve already learnt? She lives in constant motion, trying to root out old habits.
The lift goes up. Footsteps echo down the corridor. A knock-knock at the door. ‘Could it be him?’ she wonders.
Is he a habit too? What she does know is that he’s part of the game. And she’s waiting for him to arrive so they can play.
Another knock-knock.
‘Come in. Welcome to the game. Let’s start this ping pong, my love. Your turn now'.
The habit of getting used to it is a collage of everyday life.
