What happens when a walking Greek tragedy comes to Brexit Britain?
This is Not Medea is a triggering dark comedy about passports, pints, a global pandemic, arts, the lack of arts, the lack of toilet paper... and murder.
The Other Theatre Company are a new Midlands based company that challenges the depths of what it means to be the 'other' through a necessary exploration of identity that is now most relevant than ever.

Writer's note: In the midst of the pandemic, I turned to pen and paper to escape reality and brewed the story of This is Not Medea. As a Greek, mixed race immigrant, I often fail to fit in the boxes that society needs to define me by. I felt a burning need to write about my lived experiences of not belonging, the unheard voices formed under the scope of prejudice, particularly after Brexit.
'Entertaining, charming and delightfully told.' - Audience response
'It’s a comical portrayal of heartbreak and revenge captured beautifully as only someone from the outside looking in can capture it and show the British reserve for what it is. Total nonsense!' - West End Best Friend
