A story based on real experiences of an immigrant in the UK, exploring themes of home, belonging and finding your identity as a foreigner in a big city. The excitement of it. The confusion of it. The loneliness of it. The longing to belong. Somewhere. To someone. It's a play about endless searching for the place that feels right. That feels like home. It's about racing towards the future and running away from the past, until you cannot run anymore and all you are left with is the present. A train station. And a train to Brixton.
A debut play from actor/writer Zuzana Spacirova, in which she reflects on her experiences of moving from Eastern Europe to London.
Featuring a talking self checkout, binge watching Eastenders and painfully relatable life choices.
The performance on 9 November will be live streamed; book via The Space website.

★★★★ 'Spacirova dazzles the audience with undeniable charm, a bubbly personality, and – it cannot be stated enough – a ridiculous level of stamina. It is this performance that draws the audience in and keeps them captivated until the very end.' - The Wee Review
★★★★ ‘Engaging theatre cemented by a heart-warming performance’ - London Pub Theatres Magazine
"This is a tale of youth: of a desire for independence and success alongside the often contradictory need to be loved and understood. A tale of a city that offers so much promise but is a sprawling confusion of disparate locations. A tale of immigrants, that despite their ever-cheerful outlook and endless capacity for hard work, find it so hard to carve out a community that feels like home. And a tale of a fundamental need for home." -Everything Theatre
